Indole-3-butyric acid

Description

Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) is a synthetic auxin structurally related to indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), but more stable and widely used in plant propagation. IBA strongly promotes root initiation and adventitious rooting in cuttings, micropropagation, and in vitro culture systems. It is considered one of the most effective auxins for root induction and is often combined with cytokinins to balance shoot and root formation.
