Atrazine

Description

Atrazine is a selective systemic herbicide from the triazine class. It inhibits photosynthesis by blocking electron transport in photosystem II, preventing ATP and NADPH formation, and thereby halting plant growth. In research and tissue culture, atrazine may be applied for selective suppression of non-target plant cells or as a tool in studying photosynthetic processes.
