2-Naphthoxyacetic acid (NOA) is a synthetic auxin-like growth regulator that stimulates cell elongation, root initiation, and morphogenetic responses in plant tissue culture. It is frequently used as an alternative to NAA and IAA due to its stability and prolonged activity. In micropropagation, NOA promotes callus induction, somatic embryogenesis, and adventitious root formation, often in combination with cytokinins.
