2,3,5-Triiodobenzoic acid

Description

2,3,5-Triiodobenzoic acid (TIBA) is an auxin transport inhibitor used to study and manipulate plant development. Unlike IAA, IBA, or NAA, TIBA does not act as an auxin but instead blocks the polar transport of auxins, leading to altered morphogenesis and growth patterns. It is used in plant physiology research to investigate auxin distribution, root-shoot communication, and developmental processes.
